It cleaned up the messier bits: stuck quests, odd dungeon behavior, War Plan exploits, boss debuffs hanging around too long, and class tooltips that didn't match what was happening on screen. If you're pushing Torment, sorting Talismans, or checking Diablo 4 runes between runs, that kind of polish matters more than it sounds at first.

Rogue players haven't disappeared either. Death Trap and Penetrating Shot are still sharp choices for people who like controlled farming instead of screen-wide chaos. Paladin Hammerdin builds are also seeing steady use, especially when disciple multipliers line up with Talisman bonuses. The common thread is simple: builds that ignore the new seasonal layers tend to hit a wall earlier. Builds that work with Charms, Cube upgrades, vulnerability uptime, and real defensive planning last longer in higher Torment tiers.
What players should watch next
The healthiest part of Season of Reckoning right now is that it rewards planning without making every session feel like homework. You run War Plans for a goal, use the Cube to patch weak gear, then tune Talismans for the content you're actually playing. That loop is a lot better than blind farming. Still, some players will look for outside shortcuts like buy cheap Diablo 4 runes when they're trying to speed up testing or catch a build up to friends, and that says plenty about how much pressure the endgame economy can create. If Blizzard keeps fixing pain points without smashing builds every other week, this season could age well.
